Raw Sienna

• Paint the bottom half of sky white using a punching method with a large brush. Mix blue & black for the remaining sky. Take a clean damp brush to blend two colors together. 

• Water down white and flick in stars, use the back of the brush for larger stars. 

• Mix blue black and white for a dark denim, and paint in the mountain. Add black on your brush to dash in shadows while still wet. 

• Clean brush, dash in white on top of mountain for highlights. 

• Mix green, raw sienna and black for a base coat of grass. 

• Water black down, dab in pine trees. Mix a dark denim for smaller trees in the back. Bring dark denim down into grass for shadows. Add small amounts of white to trees for dimension. 

• Mix more raw sienna and green together, dab on lighter portions of grass. 

• Fill in outer edges of water with dark denim blue ( blue, black, white) 

• mix white into denim mix for a lighter center, brushing horizontally. 

• Take a clean small brush and white paint, dab in white caps for water. 

• Water down white, punch around in grass & trees for highlights. 

• Mix dark black/grey, stamp round brush in water for river stones. Highlight tops with white. 

• Use a small liner brush to dab in raw sienna ovals in grass for wildflowers. 

• Reinforce any black around the base of trees, and edge between grass and water. Add any final highlights needed.
